I hadn't heard this bit of the Fort Hood story... Everybody should. Especially people who think Bush is a fool and doesn't deserve respect; he DOES deserve respect, even if he made a few mistakes. Nobody's perfect. And I think Bush served our country well. Anyways, here's the message. Enjoy! I don't know who the original composer of it is...

Bush Asked to Leave Ft. Hood

I sent my cousin in Fayetteville, N.C. (retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood .. I got this reply:

What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood.. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only ask for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that "The president Is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital." The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in days later and held a "photo " session in a gym and did not even go to the hospital. All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.

This Busy/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US.

Class shows up...
The doctor had his tv on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.
He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay." Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse,"I'm the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."

The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night to Ft.Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to comfort him. He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side The nurse took this picture.

What? I wanna know what you think of these two lines:

The gnome stood still, awaiting his enemy to show himself again.

And...

Last came the spoons.

Do those make decent opening lines? I want my book to be appealing right from the get-go. Do those lines grab your attention? Any advice? I've got lots of work to do, and assistant editors would be GREAT and muchly appreciated.

Met me know if you'd be interested in helping me edit the whole thing. It looked like they were doing a pretty good job judging by the previews. I was so disappointed and now I am distraught. Why do fools gotta go and ruin excellent books by making movies like that? Not even sticking to the basic plot line... ruining characters... ugh! It drives me crazy!

Everyone who hasn't read the books says it's a good movie. So I guess they didn't do that horribly, but still. And another thing that drives me insane is that in this movie they left no hooks, plot twists, and didn't even mention the Great Prophecy so I don't think they intend on making the other movies, which stinks to the max. Well, I guess it doesn't stink if they messed up the others as bad as they messed up this one.

I wanna get into entertainment... be a screenwriter so that I can make sure nobody messes up the books I love. The problem is that people ain't making movies because they're passionate about it anymore these days... it's all about the money. To get good, quality, adaptations of books to movies, you need people like Peter Jackson who love what they're making. Lord of the Rings is very accurate and everybody loves them. Why can't people do the same with other stuff?

If you've read the book and loved it, just brace yourself for disappointment.

Three stars.

Thankfulness

Everybody needs to stop. Stop and look. Look at all the hundreds, thousands, and millions of things they have to be thankful for. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or where you live... EVERYBODY in this world has SOMETHING to be grateful for. Every breath you breath. The sun that rises faithfully every morning. The roof over your head. The food on your plate. We have so much and really don't recognize it.

Are you feeling depressed today? Cheated? Unfairly treated? Well quit complaining? "I was cried because I had no shoes, and then I saw a man who had no feet." There's always somebody worse off than you, but that's beside the point... The point is, you gotta stop and look at all you have instead of complaining about the things that you don't have. When you think about what you do have, you may realize that you don't reall need the things you think you need/want. Don't gripe about your life; be glad you have it.

Don't hate your parents because they tell you what to do or chasten you when you behave badly; be glad that you have parents--some kids don't--and be happy that they are taking care of you. Parents punish their kids because they love them. They don't do it to be jerks.

Don't look in the mirror and groan because you hate the way you look. Rejoice for having a body! Our bodies are one of the greatest gifts that our Heavenly Father has given us.

Don't complain about having to do to school. Be happy that you have the opportunity to be taught and learn. There are still ADULTS in this world--and many of them--who cannot read because they were never granted the opportunity to learn.

You have many, many opportunities, objects, relationships, and conditions to be grateful for. Many more things to be thankful for than things to be ungrateful for and complain when you stop and think about it. Be thankful for every heart beat. Be thankful for every minute you live. Be thankful for all the wonderful things you can hear, see, smell, taste, feel, and do. Don't take it all for granted.

And finally, recognize the Lord's hand in ALL things. He gave it all to you, and commands that you be thankful for it. If you're not gonna be thankful for what He gives you, why would he want to give you more?

You'll find your life meaningless and miserable if you can't be grateful for all the millions of things that you have.

Time's Ticking

Quote of the day: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called the present." Oogway from Kung Fu Panda (as far as I know)

This whole thought process all started yesterday when I went and turned in my application for my passport. Passports have a lifespan of ten years, and then you have to renew them. I was thinking a bit about where I'll be in ten years... I'll be 29, graduated from college, hopefully married, maybe a kid or two. I might have written a best-selling novel by then. Maybe I'll have my chicken farm. A lot can happen in ten years. A decade may seem like a long time, but it really isn't. Ten years will fly by before you know it.

Then I was thinking some more... My beloved little dog will probably be dead in ten years, because he's 5 now. 15 years old is pretty stinkin' old for a dog. My grandparents are pretty old; they could be gone in ten years, too.

I calculated some times. I'm just about twenty now. If I live to be ninety, that means I only have seventy years left to live. That's:

840 months

3,640 weeks

25,550 days

613,200 hours

36,792,000 minutes

2,207,520,000 seconds

That's approximately how much time I have left to live. And that's assuming that I don't get in a car crash and die, or whatever. Now look at these numbers:

There are 8,760 hours in a year. Look how quickly those'll take away from that 613,200 hours.

There are 525,600 minutes in a year. Those'll subtract drastically from those 36,792,000 minutes drastically as well.

52 weeks each year will fly by and knock digits off that 3,640 weeks on its way out.

365 days in a year will quickly take away from those 25,550 days, too.

12 months a year will make huge dents in those 840 months.

What I'm trying to say is: LIFE IS SHORT!

When you're young and you're thinking about life, you may think that you have all the time in the world to do things. You think you have years to make yourself a better person. You think you have a lifetime to give the love you'd like to give to people. You think you have tons of time to spend with your family. You get depressed because when life gets hard the only thing you can think about is: it's so long. When will the misery end? WRONG! It could end at any second of any minute of any hour of any day!

Nothing can stop the minutes from ticking away. It goes on with or without us. Are we making it meaningful? Are we filling our short life with lasting memories that'll be cherished treasure, or are we stuffing our time with meaningless junk like playing too many video games, or watching too many movies?

Life is too short to waste it fighting. Get over it. Move beyond drama. Don't hold grudges. You've only got approximately 25,550 days to resolve conflicts, so DO IT. Let the small things pass; that is the meaningless junk I was referring to. Don't stress too hard; enjoy every day. Every day is a gift, and every day will pass.

Life is too short to just sit there. If you have goals and things you wanna get done, NOW, today, is the time to start working on them. The happiest of our memories are the ones when we were accomplishing something; when we were helping a friend; when we were learning and growing. Accomplishment makes a person very happy; depressed people are the idle ones.

We didn't come here to waste time. We came here to be tested. We came here to see how we would react to trials and how we would spend our time. Our time here is very limited, especially when you compare it to the ternities. What we do here--this short time on earth--will effect where we'll end up for all of eternity. Every choice has a consequence.

You only have one lifetime. There will only be one February 2, 2010. Each heart beat ticks away the fast-moving seconds. Are you spending it wisely?

Life is short. Life is precious. Stop being depressed and moping about how long it is, because it isn't; get to work! Get something done! Do something meaningful! Say the things you wanna say! Life is what you make of it. And NEVER EVER forget that: LIFE IS GOOD!

How to Be a Good Self-Editor

Quote of the day: "Do what you love, love what you do." By (I honestly think I just made that one up...)

Editing... we all know what a pain it is. Revising... one of the toughest things to do. The good thing about both of these is that the reward for your hard work is amazing. You're a recycling machine when you edit and revise; you take a piece of average garbage and recreate it to something splendid and useful. Today I'm going to talk about some tips and methods for editing; how to find the motivation and how to just get it done.

1. Treat your editing like it's your job. I've found this to work quite well. You clock in, just like you would at work, and clock out. You determine the amount of hours a day (or week) that you want to work on your writing. Set some time apart as if you were scheduled to work then.

2. Step back and read it as if you didn't write it. If you were just a reader, would your writing catch you? What do you need to add to make it appealing? Is the hook strong enough? Are you speaking in a way that people can understand? (A lot of times we write the way our brain processes thoughts; sometimes it can be hard for people to understand our thought process. Who can blame them?Nobody's in our head but us.)

3. Don't be too hard on yourself. We all make ridiculous mistakes. All of us mix things up. That's why we edit: to hide our idiocy. Just kidding.

4. Don't hide your writing. Don't be afraid to share; get advice from everyone and anyone you can. It's very beneficial. Several minds are better than one.

5. Get motivated; be excited! You're working on something that has the potential to be the next Nerk York #1 Seller. It could be a great piece. It might make you rich. Hollywood might want to buy it. It could be beneficial to others. You might gain hundreds of fans that'll swarm around your table at a book signing. Get excited and stay excited for the potential your writing has; edit it up to reach that potential.

6. Edit it how you want it. Sure, we got to make people happy, but don't annihilate your happiness for the sake of everyone else. Make your writing the way YOU want it. Sometimes you need to ignore the opinion of others to do this, and it's really hard. But remember: IT'S YOUR WRITING. If you want the old man character to talk like this: "Yo dude, what up foo'? Like, ya wanna go to the, like, beach?" then DO IT! When people write how and what they want to write, it is often fresh and unique and most likely more people will like it because it has a voice. Don't let editing take away your voice.

Don't forget: Editing takes time... a LOT of time. Endure to the end, my friend, and your reward shall be great.

Happy editing!

Your work before you edit and revise (purify and reshape)...

Your work when you've finished...

Horse Muck Entertainment

Well, lately we've been a little bored. I've been home from college, my younger brother is homeschooled, and we're constantly surrounded by funny people with crazy ideas. needless to say, we've been making a lot of movies. Making movies is a great recreational activity. Because, A) it gets your creative juics flowing, B) it shows hidden talent, 3) by doing it, you create hilarious memories that you can cherish and relive for the rest of your life, D) some people get famous by doing it.

I'd like to present and share those videos with you here.

Prune Juice
Prune Juice was the first that started this recent wave of videos. My cousin unintentionally brought over and expired container of Prune Juice and well, here's what happened.

The Real Heroes of Narnia
Well, what would you do if you had a TRansformers mask, a Batman costume, and stretchy pants?

The Best Worst Movie Ever (Crazy Toyland)
Is it becoming obvious that we have far too much time (and toys) on our hands?

These probably aren't as funny to everybody else as they are to us, but the important thing is that we had TONS of fun making them. They return home with qualities and strengths that seem to come from no other experience. They know, as they never knew before, that this work is true and that it is the most important work on the face of the earth. They return home with a desire to continue to serve. They have established a foundation on which to grow in future responsibilities."--President Gordon B. Hinckley, Dec. 1986 (Found this quote today and thought it was AWESOME, especially since I'm planning on serving a mission.)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 144px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1KbR152KfI/AAAAAAAAABg/x84rT0nntok/s200/Teffy+and+the+Golden+Spoon+Cover+Sketch.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427571231764654578" />

Well I guess it's time, and an exciting time at that, to announce the name of my sequel to Teffy: The Search for Nephew Ninky. And the sequel (which's manuscript is now up to 127 full pages) is: Teffy and the Golden Spoon.

I'll let ya all in on a little exclusive secret... this book was inspired by a little golden spoon, which came in a set of assorted mini jars of jelly. The jellies were a Christmas gift to my family, and I adored them because they were cute and small (the jellies themselves weren't so great.) The spoon was odd, but a little treasure. It kicked around the kitchen for a while and every time I saw it I thought, hmm, what a cool little spoon. It was shiny and little and curvy and just, well, sweet! Needless to say, I looked at the little spoon a lot, and my big brother used it quite often to eat cereal, just to be an idiot.
So I ninja'd the spoon one day and thought up a story... That basic plot idea, I realized, could be added on to the manuscript that I was currently working on at the time, which was TTSFNN (Teffy: The Search for Nephew Ninky.) And actually, because of this sequel, there is now in planning a third and even a fourth novel in the Naytel Journal series. So basically you could say that this little spoon inspired three entire books. Crazy, eh?
Did I ever mention that the Naytel Journal series I have planned out was inspired by a horse mask I made when I was 14? And my first book was inspired by a tiny handcuff key. Crazy how the brain works...
Teffy and the Golden Spoon already has a self-publishing contract with AuthorHouse and I hope to have it out by this Fall. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment:
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1Ka85ZPV_I/AAAAAAAAABY/TgvQOKrnzfo/s200/Teffy+031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427570871924381682" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 168px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1Ka8gSOnHI/AAAAAAAAABQ/z2Cg56Cp0bk/s200/Teffy+Chicken.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427570865184087154" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1Ka8QD-oaI/AAAAAAAAABI/Dn0vLws5MJU/s200/Jeheestan+Teffy+and+Jinks.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427570860829352354" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1Ka8Jyxt2I/AAAAAAAAABA/xhfmbuOro0g/s200/Arstar+COlored.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427570859146590050" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 144px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S1Ka7jMUBBI/AAAAAAAAAA4/ZzoKZNLekv4/s200/Golden+Spoon.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427570848784712722" />

Money! I'm jobless and I need money. Here are my ideas to make me some cash:

1. Selling my book, Teffy: The Search for Nephew Ninky
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 136px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_otCvrl1QefQ/S0I4l7lommI/AAAAAAAAAAw/1NjIz0xtsHc/s200/Teffy+Kindle+Cover.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422959125609355874" />

I wrote this book about... four years ago. I self-published it through Author House, and it has been on sale for a year now. There are only 21 copies in the world, and I would LOVE to see that number grow. So by buying the book you'd be doing more than just giving me money, you'd be supporting my dream and writing career!

It can be bought from many websites. Amazon, for example, and Barnes and Noble. Or you can get it for the lowest price ($14.49) directly from the printers here:

I may be ordering some more soon, and that is another way that you could get it (if you know me in person.)

2. Selling my artwork.

This is my bigger, and probably better, idea. I only get about a dollar from each book I sell, so this one would actually earn me more money. I actually am trying to start up a little online illustrating business. It hasn't gotten far at all, but here is the website:

I can do a wide variety of things. Tell me what you want, and offer me your best price. pretty much I'll do anything for any price. This is my way of fundraising.

So if you know anyone desiring any artwork, refer them to me, would ya?

That's what I'm up to these days... trying everything I can do to get money for college. And none of it is working, haha!

Thanks for your support!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://carriekreth.blogspot.com/2010/01/money-money-money-i-need-money.html' title='Money! I didn't really know what to expect when I went to see it--I wasn't expecting all the language, that's for sure--but I thought it looked like a pretty sweet movie. And it was. Here's my review:

Summary:

A company of humans have started mining a special resource on Pandora, a planet that takes six years to travel to. Jake Sully agrees to go and work on the planet in place of his recently deceased brother as a scientist to observe the residents of Pandora, the Na'vi. He enters a mentally controlled Na'vi body which was created by combining the creature's DNA with the human's. When he first started observing the Na'vi, he was trying to help the humans to get the Na'vi to relocate because their "Home Tree" was right on top of the richest deposit of the mineral that the humans wanted, but Jake converts to the Na'vis' side when he falls in love and realizes that the indigenous creatures were being wrongly treated. The Na'vi struggle to survive until Jake manages to bring all their tribes together and they fight against guns and steel machines with bows, arrows, and bare flesh. In the end, the Na'vi win with their goddess/mother earth, Eywa, fighting on their side. They kick the humans off Pandora and only allow a special few, like Jake, to stay behind.

There's the entire 2 and 1/2 hour movie in a paragraph. There are a lot more underlying themes and conflicts and moments, but that right there is the base plot. It was enjoyable... I probably won't ever sit down to watch the entire thing again, but I liked it. The naked Na'vi were a little disturbing, but they have loin cloths and blue skin and stripes, so it's kind of just like seeing the Bushmen from "The Gods Must be Crazy." However, I didn't think the language would be an issue with this movie, but it was... it would've done just fine without the language and it makes me mad that they put it in there.
The graphics are phenomenal. Pandora is a gorgeous planet, especially at night when all the plants do this cool glowing thing.

The movie was pleasing to the eye.

There were many things that I didn't particularly like in the movie. For instance, the Na'vi have this weird "connection" thing they do through their braided hair. They can connect to each other, other creatures, and even plants. They can share thoughts through this connection and even control animals. I just thought the concept was really bizarre and kind of awkward. The makeout scene was brief, but still went a little over the edge, I think.

Then there are, of course, the political and evironmental themes within the movie. I'm not gonna lie, there are some strong environmentalist ideas in there. Like, "All life is connected," and the humans, or as the Na'vi call us, "Sky People," are gonna destroy Pandora just like they destroyed the earth (this movie is set in the future; the earth is supposedly one big city at the time the movie takes place and there is no more green left on it.) It's the same Native Americans versus White Man idea. The White Men come to Pandora and take whatever they want without thinking of the consequences.
There are a lot of anti-human ideas as well. The whole time while watching the movie you get this feeling that humans are evil and inconsiderate, which I guess can sometimes be true. According to my brother, it's also anti-God because Jake Sully in the end abandons his human body altogether and transfers his sould to the avatar Na'vi body. There are a lot of heated arguments about the themes of this movie; hundreds of reviews and thousands of individuals' ideas, a lot of conflict, and even contradictions.

Personally, I thought it was enjoyable to watch. It was exciting, and though some people considered it simply repetitive, I thought it was fresh. The Na'vi looked AWESOME. And yeah, the political themes did bother me because I disagree with a lot of it, but if you don't let them bother you too much--nor get brainwashed by them--the themes really aren't a problem because I didn't think the movie was force-feeding them to the audience. It's epic on the big screen, but I would've gladly waited to rent it on DVD when it's released.

3.9 star rating

Now that the review's over... My Opinions on the Political Issues Depicted in Avatar:

I'm not an environmentalist, nor do I think that we should just ignore the needs of nature and misuse/disrespect our God-given home. I do think that environmentalists take it a little too far, though. We need the resources from the earth. It's a commandment to use what we've been given. The environmentalists don't want us to cut down the trees to build houses, but what they're missing is the fact that they, too, live in nice, cozy houses made of WOOD which came from TREES. No, we shouldn't hack down every forest in sight, but reasonable logging is a good thing. We all need the wood provided by the maginificant forests. All the resources we use to better our living standard was put here for us to use; why let it go to waste?

Nobody can deny that what we did to the Indians was wrong, but it's history; there's really nothing that we can do to fix it now except make sure we do not make the same mistake again. People need to move on and let it go; what was done has been done and unless someone has a time machine, a really great ambassador to work with the Indians and a translator so that there are no miscommunications, and a VERY, VERY, persuasive and POWERFUL leader to convince everyone to stop taking over. Yeah, good luck changing history. We can't change history but we can avoid repeating it.

Humans are NOT evil. They were given dominion over everything else in the world (read your bible) and they do sin a lot, but not all of us are evil. There are many more good people in the world unlike the tiny baby-sized handful of good people depicted in Avatar. Everybody makes mistakes; should humans be annihilated, betrayed, and shunned just because of the mistakes they've made? Negative. That's what the Atonement is for. There is such thing as forgiveness and redemption. Using the things we've been given does not make humans evil; excessive use and cruelty to get what you want is, though. There has to be balance. There has to be wisdom and education in the choices we make. But again I say, the human race as a whole is NOT evil.

Okay, I think I've made my point.

David Archuleta

On Friday, December 4, I had the opportunity to go and see David Archuleta in concert... again. It's so apparent that there's something different about him. If I could tell David Archuleta one thing I would tell him to stay true. To never falter. Kids these days have NO good role models because EVERY celebrity, practically everybody in the spotlight, makes terrible decisions. That's all kids hear about. So-and-so drunk driving; Britney doing drugs, and whatever. It's so irritating and bad. We're raising nothing but a generation of losers. David Archuleta has the power to change that. He can raise the bar. He can step up. He can make use of being in the spotlight and shine for everyone to see and look up to. I hope he doesn't go bad. I hope he has the faith and strength to stay true and righteous. And I'm proud of him, 'cause so far he's done an excellent job. It took me approximately one minute to figure out what I wanted to name my blog... and I probably came to it because I'm currently hungry and craving some linner (linner: lunch/dinner, a meal that is inconveniently timed between lunch and dinner) and chicken sounds tasty. Chickens, let's start with that aspect of why I chose that name: I LOVE CHICKENS. Inexplainable, really, but I love them; I love to raise them, hatch them, feed them, watch them, hold them, pet them, kissing them doesn't work so well, and I love to eat them. KFC thrives because of chickens. Fried chicken. Yum. You would think I'm black because I loved fried chicken so much. (And no, I'm NOT racist; I love everyone, I really do. If everyone was white, life would be boring--the world would be dull. I don't know why everyone thinks I'm racist... but honestly, I'm not.) So anyways, because the word "chicken" is not mentioned in my title, I thought it was necessary for it to appear somewhere. Conveniently the initials for my blog are KFC, pretty clever, huh?

Now, about the "knowledge" thing... don't get the message that I'm saying I'm all-knowing and brilliant. I chose that word, well, partially because there are very few words that start with K in the English language, and because this blog will be limited to my knowledge, and I'm no scholar, I do a bit of research, but I also allow my brain to create its own knowledge, and I am a college student, so I'm surrounded by knowledge. It engulfs me. It "fries" me. And I love it. And I apologize for that sentence up there... it is VERY long.

Carrie - well, that just so happens to be my name... my middle name. No, not really. I won't tell you my last name because you might make me sing for you... =P J.K. Rowling (J.K. Rowling - a term often used by Carrie when she menas "just kidding;" she uses this bazaar term because J.K. Rowling's name just so happens to have the same initials of the chat language term "JK" which also stands for "just kidding." Because Carrie is anti-chat language and cannot stand the sight of it, she says J.K. Rowling, because saying JK is fun, but saying J.K. Rowling isn't considered chat language.)

How about some stuff about myself? Well, my name is Carrie. I was born on August 8. I consider 8 as my lucky and favorite number. My favorite color is purple. I have a HUGE family. I lived in the same place all my life until I left home for college. I love to write, and that's one of the many things I aspire to be: an author. I love chickens, pizza, root beer, good clean entertainment, and potatoes. I love life and it's always good, even when I'm miserable, because life was meant to be hard and we really should refrain from complaining.

What will this blog be about? Who really knows for sure. I guess it'll mostly be about the things which I am most passionate about. It'll include thoughts and ideas that run through my head, movie reviews, book reviews, what I'm currently working on, interesting things I've come across or learned, vacations, people, and things that I'm excited for. You know, it'll be about life. Yep.

So there you have it, this is my blog, Knowledge Fried Carrie, and this concludes my first entry. I hope you'll check back often and read, but even if you don't, I'll be writing.
